Crop Circle Challenge 2012

We are offering £100.000 (one hundred thousand pounds) to anyone who can create the replica of a crop circle called “The Galaxy” that was reported on 12. of August 2001 at Milk Hill, Alton Barnes, in Wiltshire (see the photo beneath).

For the crop circle to be recognized as a “winner” and the prize money to be awarded, certain conditions will have to be met. The challenger must agree to these terms and conditions described below, print them out, sign them as the intention to comply, and email them back. This will serve as proof of their serious intent to take up the challenge as their signed email will be published and made public on this website.

Ben benieuwd. Meerdere groepen schijnen te hebben geclaimd verantwoordelijk te zijn voor deze cirkel, dus er moet er dan toch wel een groep naar voren stappen?

The MIDWAY film project is a powerful visual journey into the heart of an astonishingly symbolic environmental tragedy. On one of the remotest islands on our planet, tens of thousands of baby albatrosses lie dead on the ground, their bodies filled with plastic from the Pacific Garbage Patch. Returning to the island over several years, our team is witnessing the cycles of life and death of these birds as a multi-layered metaphor for our times. With photographer Chris Jordan as our guide, we walk through the fire of horror and grief, facing the immensity of this tragedy—and our own complicity—head on. And in this process, we find an unexpected route to a transformational experience of beauty, acceptance, and understanding.

We frame our story in the vividly gorgeous language of state-of-the-art high-definition digital cinematography, surrounded by millions of live birds in one of the world’s most beautiful natural sanctuaries. The viewer will experience stunning juxtapositions of beauty and horror, destruction and renewal, grief and joy, birth and death, coming out the other side with their heart broken open and their worldview shifted. Meer betalingsregelingen voor zorgpremie

Steeds meer mensen kunnen hun maandelijkse zorgpremie niet betalen. Daarom treffen zorgverzekeraars veel vaker een betalingsregeling met hun klanten dan vorig jaar.

Dat blijkt maandag uit een rondgang langs verzekeraars door NRC Handelsblad.

Het aantal betalingsregelingen is in de eerste helft van dit jaar op jaarbasis met 35 procent gestegen, weet de krant.

Bij zeven zorgverzekeraars met in totaal veertien miljoen klanten zijn dit jaar 164 duizend regelingen getroffen voor klanten met een betalingsachterstand van maximaal een halfjaar. Mensen die langer niet betalen, krijgen te maken met het College voor Zorgverzekeringen, dat de premieheffing dan overneemt. Dat gebeurt jaarlijks nog bijna twee maal zoveel mensen.

Volgens sommige verzekeraars is de verhoging van het eigen risico met vijftig euro naar 220 euro er de oorzaak van dat het aantal betalingsregelingen is toegenomen. Als dat klopt, is volgend jaar een verdere toename te verwachten. Dan stijgt het eigen risico namelijk naar 350 euro.
